Huawei RRU5509t

The Huawei RRU5509T is a high-performance Remote Radio Unit (RRU) designed for multi-standard mobile network deployments in the 900 MHz frequency band (Band 8). As part of Huawei’s SingleRAN platform, the RRU5509T supports GSM, UMTS, and LTE technologies within a single compact radio module, enabling operators to efficiently expand coverage, increase capacity, and simplify site infrastructure.

The RRU5509T delivers 2 × 60 W of transmit power with 2x2 MIMO support, ensuring excellent signal quality, extended coverage, and enhanced spectral efficiency. The device connects to Huawei BBU3900, BBU3910, and BBU5900 baseband units via CPRI interfaces, supporting flexible configuration for multi-band and multi-technology networks. It features carrier aggregation and multi-carrier operation, allowing the unit to handle multiple frequency layers for optimized performance.

With its IP65-rated enclosure, the RRU5509T is built for robust outdoor operation under harsh environmental conditions such as dust, humidity, and extreme temperatures. Its compact and lightweight design, combined with passive cooling, ensures easy installation and reduced maintenance requirements. The RRU5509T also supports remote configuration and software upgrades, minimizing operational costs and ensuring a smooth evolution toward 5G networks.
